Composer, Corneliu Mootz, brings his own creative style to contemporary classical and multimedia music. His works are uniquely crafted, blending classical traditions with modern harmonies.
Corneliu Mootz was born in Romania and raised in Southern California. His musical voyage began early with his first instrument, the mandolin. At the age of 13 he started playing the trumpet and eventually took an interest in composition. Corneliu’s musical background includes formal, classical training, extensive ensemble performances and an array of courses in music education.
His works have been performed nationally and internationally. His arrangement of “Amazing Grace/How Great Thou Art” for organ and trumpet can be heard on the album Precious Lord (Music Mission International, Dr. Jung-A Lee, 2012). His original piece, "Daniel's Prayer" for organ can be heard on the album Amazing Grace. Recorded at the Walt Disney Concert Hall and produced by Music Mission International, 2015.
